ABOUT THE ROLE

BRND House is a hospitality-focused marketing agency working with restaurants, bars, hotels, and lifestyle brands. We’re looking for creative, curious, and motivated students to join our team as Social Media or Public Relations Interns.


While Social Media and PR are separate internship positions, both provide hands-on experience working with real hospitality clients in a fast-paced agency environment. Interns will work alongside our team to support day-to-day client work, contribute ideas, and learn how successful hospitality brands are built and promoted.


Applicants will be considered for either our Social Media Internship or Public Relations Internship based on their interests, experience, and fit.


Social Media Internship

Our Social Media Interns work alongside the Social Media team to help develop and execute social content for our hospitality clients.


Responsibilities may include:

- Assist with monthly social media content planning and brainstorming

- Research social media trends, sounds, formats, and emerging platforms

- Source and organize user-generated content (UGC)

- Draft social media captions and content ideas

- Assist with Instagram Stories and other social content

- Support community management, including engaging with followers and responding to comments

- Research holidays, events, promotions, and timely cultural moments for content calendars

- Assist with social media reporting and gathering performance insights

- Participate in team brainstorms and social media meetings

- Support other day-to-day social media and agency projects as needed


Public Relations Internship

Our PR Interns work alongside the PR team to help generate media exposure, build relationships, and support PR campaigns for our hospitality clients.


Responsibilities may include:

- Assist with media outreach and relationship-building

- Research local, regional, and national media outlets, journalists, editors, and creators

- Identify relevant media opportunities for clients

- Assist with drafting press releases, pitches, and media alerts

- Support the development and maintenance of media lists

- Monitor media coverage and track client placements

- Research industry trends, news, events, and timely story opportunities

- Assist with pitching stories and client announcements to media

- Help coordinate media visits, influencer experiences, events, and other PR activations

- Attend and assist with client events and hospitality activations when needed

- Support PR reporting and compiling monthly results

- Participate in PR brainstorms and team meetings

- Assist with other day-to-day PR and agency projects as needed


What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field

- Genuinely interested in social media, public relations, marketing, or communications

- Creative, curious, and willing to bring new ideas to the table

- A strong writer with solid grammar and attention to detail

- Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

- Comfortable researching information and learning new tools

- Professional and confident communicating with others

- Interested in the restaurant, hotel, hospitality, and lifestyle industries

- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

- Eager to learn, receive feedback, and take initiative


Previous agency or professional experience is not required. We’re more interested in your creativity, curiosity, work ethic, and willingness to learn.


Internship Details

- 15–20 hours per week

- Monday & Wednesday in-office in Downtown Nashville

- Additional hours/days scheduled around your availability and team needs

- 3-month minimum commitment

- College credit or professional experience to start

- Opportunity for a paid extension based on performance and team needs
